    1. What reasons does Jefferson offer for colonizing blacks outside the United States?

Reasons that Jefferson offered for colonizing blacks outside the United States were that whites and blacks would never be able to coordinate with each other due to deep racial feelings against the blacks and blacks wanting pay back for all from the whites for all they went through and that they are inferior to whites in both body and mind ( they would never be equal members of the American nation).

    2. How does Jefferson describe the effect of slavery on the morals and behavior of white Virginians?

  2. 1) What reasons does Jefferson offer for colonizing blacks outside the United States in the event of emancipation?

Jefferson wants to colonizes blacks outside of the US to make them the US's alliance and make them the US's protectors. Even though slaves have gained their freedom Jefferson still feels as though since America gave them their independence that they still need to serve America.

    2) How does Jefferson describe the effect of slavery on the morals and behavior of white Virginians?

Jefferson speaks on a specific matter that there is "an unhappy influence on the manners of our people". The children see how the parent treats slave and realizes whatever their parent is doing is right in their eyes. So the children follows after the parents and it will be a repeated cycle of each generation creating this prejudices about black people. Also industry wise, no man in humid climate would not work for himself if he can get another man to do it. All of these factors cause white Virginians to feel the need to act this way because blacks are inferior to them and they are good at working for others. No matter if they are free or not.
