The west faced a social and Financial reincarnation of the industrial age as many monopolies occupied several different states for different purposes such as the gold and sliver that was abundant in California. However, to occupy the land, they pushed out several Indians and kill off several Indian tribes to the point where a book said these Indians "do not exist anymore"

ReplyDeleteThe West transfrmed into a place that was becoming more and more consumed in corporate farms that used machinery and trading places, whiles the sociall life in the West saw many Indians driven out of their land, and many from the east coast moved to the west for better opportunities, whiles the West tried to attract immigrants to come live in the West. GML talks about how in the 1870'S, invenstment of machinery in the western farms contributed. Also, the Nez Perce Indians leader Chief Joseph talks about how him and other Native Americans wanted freedom and equal rights, after being driven out of their land. There were also a lot of advertisments trying to convincd immigrants into moving into the West.
The West transformed into a place that was increasingly consumed in corporate farms that used industrial equipment and buying and selling places, when the social life in the West saw many Indian people pushed out of their land, and many from the eastern coast relocated to the west for greater opportunities, while the West tried to attract immigrants to come and live in the west. GML discusses how equipment inventions in western farms contributed in the 1870'S. The Nez Perce Indians Chief Joseph also speaks that he and other Natives, after being forced out of their territory, wanted liberty and legal equality. A ton of ads have tried to convince refugees to move to the West.

On the other hand to gain the land, they “pushed” the Indians out and also took part in killing off several Indian tribes so they “do not exist anymore"
ReplyDeleteThe west transformed into an economy that began booming from all the growth in farming. With the advances in technology and growth many citizens began moving westward. However as they did the Native Americans were kicked out. So socially the west for citizens grew positively but for the Natives it went down hill because they were forced to move once again when all they wanted was to be treated equally.

Because of their advanced technology many people became to more westward, but the more people that came there more Native Americans that were kicked out. Overall the west became a positive growth for the citizen but for the Native Americans it became another invasion of property.

With the growth of technology more civilians moved westward. As they did this they kicked out the Indians. They also killed of so many Indian tribes they “do nit exist anymore” according to the book.

Technology advanced Railroad companies North, South, Southeast, and Southwest. The population of bison declined, and there were no more buffalo. Dawes Act Indians became citizens if they lived on a farm for 25 years, and owned 160 acres of land. Population increased nationally.
