The rebel’s complaints was that the government was protecting the Indians, raising taxes, not letting the colony advance(economically, structure wise and housing), not giving justice to the people and wronging the King for many other ways
2. Do Bacon and his followers envision any place for Indians in Virginia society?
Bacon and his followers envision a place for them to widen where they are able to go. Which means to take the land from the Indians leaving them with no place to live or go.

Bacon do not envision any place for the Indians. Instead he wishes to drive all Indians out of the aspects of their daily lives

ReplyDeleteThe rebels main complaints against the government of Virginia were that they protecting the Indians because he refused to allow white settlement in areas reserved for Indians, raising taxes and giving whites freedom to own land, such as small farms.

Bacon and his followers threatened to take away the Indians land in which they will have no land or no place to go.

ReplyDeleteThe rebels main complaints against the government of Virginia were that the raised taxes needed to be lower. Also the removal of the Indians to make room for farmers and land owning men who were promised land.

Bacon and his followers did not envision a place for the Indians in Virginia society. They believed the Indians shouldn’t be apart of their society.

Bacon and his followers does not envision any place for the Indianas. He threatens to take their land so they would have nowhere to go.
1A: The main complaints against the government of Virginia were to lower the taxes that have been raised and to create room for small farms and slaves. Also, the colonizers wanted to get rid of the natives as they felt the Indians were taking up a lot of space.

The rebels feel as though the government has been “protecting” The indians and have been limiting them and their way of growing their economy and because they are taxing them.

ReplyDeleteThe rebels mainly complained about the mistreatment of natives and how in general they should just be removed to avoid things and make more room for land as well as economical situations involving taxes being risen.

Bacon wants nothing to do with the natives he is pretty insensitive about the things they went through and just want them out of his way so he can have use of the land.

ReplyDeleteThat the government needs to lower the raised taxes that have been put upon them. They also wanted to get rid of Indians so that the little farmers can have room and the indentured servants would be able to keep their promise.

No they do not, he often refers them as Barbarous,and demands that they be taken out of their society.

He does not envision any place for the Indians because he talks about how they are savages and that they should be pushed out of their land.

ReplyDeleteThe rebel's main complaints are that the government is protecting the Indians and not giving the rebels the land they "deserve". Also the govrn. continues to raise taxes to the point where it is difficult for them to even live there.

They do not envision any place for the Indian's in their society because the Indians are seen as barbarous, spoiled humans that make some of the colonists, Govt. Berkeley, become this traitorous being to the crown.

Bacon and his followers envision a place for them that was large as a form of a place they can go. Which means to take the land from the Indians leaving them with no place to live or go.
1. The main complaint levied by the rebels against the government was the government was acting in favor of the colonists but rather in favor of the Indians. For instances laws meant to protect them from getting their land colonized. This in combo with the fact they had their taxes raised and their freedom limited.
ReplyDelete2. Bacon is is extremely greedy. He is a selfless and cruel man who only cares about his needs. He does not care for the harsh treatment of the Indians, but rather here’s it on. He believes Indians have no reason to be allowed to say. He wants the Indians land for himself.
